Rapper T.I. is hosting an event today that will serve multiple purposes, including helping families prepare for the new school year and the upcoming election.

The Atlanta artist is teaming up with V-103 to host the "Hustle Back to School Giveaway" in the Cascade Crossing Shopping Center.

From 2 p.m.-8 p.m. children will receive free book bags and school supplies, as well as tasty treats such as Snow Cones, popcorn and cotton candy.

Adults will be able to register to vote during the event.

According to a press release, event organizers will also encourage attendees to "support black-owned banks such as Citizens Trust Bank and raise awareness about current events including the upcoming Presidential election."

Fellow Atlanta musicians Killer Mike and Usher encouraged fans to support black-owned banks by opening accounts with Citizens Trust Bank earlier this year.
