Good to know I'm not crazy.
While chatting with my nephew as we awaited a late-night screening of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" on Christmas, I noticed that Guns N' Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle" was playing during Regal's "First Look" feature. Since we were talking, I didn't turn my full attention to it, assuming it was a generic ad for one of those Fathom Events concert specials.
Well, it turns out it might have been a sly tease for a possible reunion of the classic GNR lineup.
In addition to this...
...there have been other hints as well.
The GNR website now boasts a shot of the band's old logo on its homepage and the official GNR Facebook page has a profile photo of a live audience, which fans consider an encouraging sign for a reunion tour.
In recent months, GNR guitarist Slash has mentioned that he and frontman Axl Rose are back on good terms after years of animosity between them.
Slash quit the band in 1996 after a decade that saw the hard rockers tear up the music scene with mega-selling albums including "Appetite for Destruction" and "Use Your Illusion I" and "II."
A version of the band, including Rose, performed at The Tabernacle in March 2012, while Slash also performed at the venue that year and was most recently in Atlanta as the opener for Aerosmith at Philips Arena in 2014.
