Even though Garth Brooks performed a slew of shows in Atlanta three years ago , that hasn't quelled fans' desire to see the country megastar.

Tickets to Brooks' Oct. 12 performance at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium sold out in slightly more than an hour when they went on sale Friday morning, according to stadium officials.

More than 73,000 tickets were sold at prices ranging from $50-$250. Currently, a smattering of ducats are available through Ticketmaster's resale site with prices starting at $118 for the nosebleed sections and landing at $1,500 for seats closest to the catwalk in the center of the stadium floor.

The concert is the inaugural music event at the Atlanta Falcons’ new home, which opens Aug. 26 with a preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Brooks' show will also feature his wife, Trisha Yearwood. The stage configuration will allow Brooks to play to all sides of the stadium, while the singer will also employ the stunning 360-degree "halo board" in the stadium.
