[Congrats to April F., the randomly selected winner of the tix. Thanks to all who entered. Stay tuned for my 12 Days of Christmas giveaway coming up!]
Hearing the Blind Boys of Alabama perform live any time of the year is a reminder of the power of visceral, soulful music.
That the Boys are playing Atlanta Symphony Hall at 8 p.m. Saturday to support their new Christmas album, “Talkin’ Christmas!” and bringing Francine Reed along for the joyride makes it even more of a can’t-miss opportunity.
Thanks to our promoter friends, I have a pair of tickets to give away for the holiday concert, which will feature songs from the new album, as well as the Boys’ previous Christmas release, “Go Tell It On the Mountain.”
Tickets can still be purchased ($25-$65) at all Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
To enter to win:
Email me at mruggieri@ajc.com by noon Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Please put “Blind Boys of Alabama tickets” in the subject field. I cannot stress this enough. If you put anything else as the subject, your email will wind up amid the thousands in my inbox and I’ll find it sometime in 2016.
Only one entry per email address, and please don’t enter if you aren’t sure you’ll be able to attend. The winner will be contacted directly and have 24 hours to confirm attendance or another winner will be chosen. The winning name will be announced on this blog post.
There are no requirements to win, but I'd appreciate a follow on Facebook and/or Twitter.
Good luck!
