[Update Saturday: Due to continuous storm coverage, the CNN airing of "History of the Eagles" is being preempted.]

In addition to Showtime re-airing the "History of the Eagles" documentary at 6 p.m. Saturday, CNN will also broadcast both parts of the film at 8 p.m. Saturday (part one airs 8-10 p.m. and part two 10:30 p.m. to midnight).

The film, which originally aired on Showtime in February 2013 after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival, features concert footage, rare home movies of the band, interviews with band members and other key figures from the ‘70s music scene.

The networks are re-broadcasting the doc in honor of Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey, who died Jan. 18 at the age of 67.

Also this weekend, David Bowie will be remembered on "60 Minutes" at the end of a special edition at 8 p.m. Sunday on CBS.

Viewers will see previously unaired excerpts from a never-completed “60 Minutes” profile of the legendary rock icon, who died Jan. 10 at the age of 69. Bowie was interviewed during three short studio sessions that were planned to be part of a larger profile – but it never aired because of scheduling conflicts and illnesses.

Here’s a photo of Bowie from the first of those sessions in May 2003 in Woodstock, N.Y.
