Collective Soul will give hometown fans a special engagement when the band performs two concerts at Smith’s Olde Bar this month.

The Atlanta-based rockers are filming the shows on May 11 and May 12 for an upcoming documentary chronicling Collective Soul’s history.

Tickets are $30 and will go on sale May 6 via the Smith's Olde Bar website . A portion of the ticket proceeds from the shows will benefit The TJ Martel Foundation, the music industry's largest foundation that funds innovative medical research focused on finding cures for leukemia, cancer and AIDS. Collective Soul has long been a supporter of the organization.

Last fall, the band released its ninth album, "See What You Started By Continuing," and embarked on a 50-plus date U.S. tour that included a fiery show at The Tabernacle in October .

Collective Soul – singer/guitarist Ed Roland, bassist Will Turpin, rhythm guitarist Dean Roland, drummer Johnny Rabb and lead guitarist Jesse Triplett – will also hit the road this summer with the Goo Goo Dolls. The bands will play a Sept. 4 date at Chastain Park Amphitheatre.
