Billy Joel visited "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" Wednesday night and had a couple of cool announcements -- he's added a July 20 date to his Madison Square Garden residency (which will set a record as his 31st consecutive show at the venerable venue) and his specialty channel on SiriusXM will return.

A limited edition all-Joel channel first appeared on the satellite provider from March through June of 2014.

The great J.K. Simmons -- so wonderfully visceral in "Whiplash" -- was also a guest on Fallon's Wednesday show.

Given Simmons' musical background, it wasn't a huge surprise to hear him join in this supposedly impromptu version of "The Longest Time" with Fallon, Joel and his crackerjack band during a break in filming promos for the show.
