The lineup for this year’s Essence Festival just got a bit buzzier.

Atlanta R&B quartet Xscape will launch its comeback tour at the New Orleans event this summer – marking their first full live show in more than 15 years.

In March, Tamika Scott, Kandi Burruss, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle and LaTocha Scott confirmed to V-103's Big Tigger that they had reunited and were discussing plans for a tour and new album.

The original group will perform on July 2 at the Superdome; other artists taking the stage that night include Chance the Rapper, Master P and Solange.

"We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the return of Xscape than in New Orleans with our fans at the world famous Essence Festival,” the women said in a statement. “Essence Fest is so much more than a music festival, it’s a celebration of culture, music and entertainment…”

This year's Essence Fest will also spotlight Diana Ross, John Legend (who performs at Chastain on Friday), Mary J. Blige ( coming to Wolf Creek Amphitheater this summer ), Chaka Khan, Emily Estefan, Doug E. Fresh and many more.
