Nearly three years since her last Atlanta appearance , Aretha Franklin will return to the Fox Theatre.

The Queen of Soul will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 13. Tickets start at $69.50 and will go on sale at noon Aug. 25 via www.foxtheatre.org, the Fox box office or by calling 1-855-285-8499.

The legendary singer, who has earned 18 Grammys, sung for several presidents, received the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the National Medal of Arts and is enshrined as the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, announced earlier this year that 2017 will be her final year performing regularly. She recently told the Detroit Free Press that her retirement includes opening a small club in her Detroit hometown called Aretha's, where she will sing occasionally.

Franklin, 75, has been sidelined by health issues for the past several years and has frequently canceled and rescheduled concerts.
