Anita Baker sent fans into a frenzy on New Year’s Day when she announced a farewell concert.

And then, of course, came the speculation of dates and venues and cities.

Baker has told fans via her Twitter account not to believe “third party auxiliary outlets” that might have supposed concert dates posted; the information will come directly from her team in due time.

But Baker, who turns 60 on Jan. 26, also gave Atlanta fans reason to start penciling in a date when she tweeted that “it looks like Atlanta for Mother’s Day weekend” (that would be May 13). The powerhouse vocalist behind such creamy jazz-pop-R&B hits as “Sweet Love” and “Just Because”  is also set to headline the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival this spring.
