This year’s Fantastic Fourth Celebration at Stone Mountain Park will have a bit of an extra groove.

New York-based  pop-rockers American Authors (“Best Day of My Life”) and singer Rachel Platten (“Fight Song”) will open the holiday weekend at the park during “Rockin’ the Rock” at 7 p.m. July 2.

Concert tickets are included with the park’s vehicle entry of $15 for a one-day permit and $40 for an annual permit.

Following the concert, visitors will experience the recently updated Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision, as well as a fireworks display.

Along with their ubiquitous “Best Day of My Life,” the American Authors quartet has also popped on radio with “Believer” and “Go Big or Go Home.”

Meanwhile Platten, who is getting recognition for her breakthrough anthem "Fight Song," will be back in Atlanta Aug. 7 as the opener for Colbie Caillat at Atlanta Botanical Garden .
