Yet another award for Adele.

Almost exactly a month before Adele makes her long-awaited return to Atlanta , the British songbird has yet another accolade to post on her resume.

Adele's "25" album has reached sales of 10 million, earning her the coveted Diamond certification from the RIAA, which has always been a rare achievement and increasingly so in this age of diminished record sales.

The singer-songwriter was presented with a plaque commemorating the honor at her Sept. 22 concert at Madison Square Garden.

It took only 10 months for “25” – propelled by hits “Hello,” “When We Were Young” and “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” - to hit the 10-million mark. Adele’s “21” album, released in 2011, also attained Diamond status, but it took almost two years to accomplish.

Adele will perform at Philips Arena at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28-29. Tickets have been sold out since immediately after going on sale last year , but keep checking Ticketmaster.com – seats on hold for production are sometimes released closer to the show date.
