Brenda Lee had been ready to perform at the upcoming Georgia Mountain Fair, happening July 21-29 in Hiawassee.
But - dang it! - the beloved Country Hall of Famer has been ordered to rest after breaking her foot. So, country music queen Crystal Gayle will delight audiences in her stead.
The performances, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, take place in the music hall on the Georgia Mountain Fairground and admission is included with fair admission.
And don't worry, Lee's merely down for a minute but not out. She will perform Oct. 16 at the Fall Festival. Here's the link for information.
