Prince Harry will wed American actress Meghan Markle next year, the royals have announced.
The Los Angeles native plays Rachel Zane, a paralegal turned lawyer with plenty of personal drama happening outside the courtroom, on USA's "Suits." She's had roles in feature films including "Horrible Bosses" and "Remember Me."
In addition to her on-screen work, Markle is a passionate advocate for women and girls around the world, using her platform to highlight issues in some parts of the world that hinder girls from pursuing their dreams. She wrote this essay for Time , earning plaudits from her high profile friends including Serena Williams.
A Northwestern University alum, she talked about how a particularly enlightening class there offered perspective in identity issues , and shared her experiences as a biracial actress in an interview with Allure .
