VH1 near about broke the Internet with "Sorority Sisters," a new series that features women fussing and feuding, but this time under the umbrella of Greek life in Atlanta.

"You think you know what a sorority girl is? Think again," is the message that launched the premiere episode that aired Monday. That's followed by: "In the African American community, we take our Greekdom very seriously."

Twitter took it seriously, too. Not necessarily in a good way, as evidenced by tweets condemning the series as too catty and brawl-filled, rather than focusing on the philanthropy and other good work the organizations support.

Many tweeters called for boycotts of VH1 or of the sponsors that aired commercials during the show.
