Tom Cruise is filming a new movie, "Mena," north of metro Atlanta.

A recent scene may confound viewers born in the smartphone era. Unbelievably, this huge contraption Tom is standing in used to make phone calls:

The movie's plot, per imdb: “A pilot lands work for the CIA and as a drug runner in the deep South during the 1980s.”

In his downtime Tom's been spotted at Ecco, a Midtown favorite, and Kyma in Buckhead, where he posed with a fellow restaurant patron for this great photo!
