Spike Lee has been outspoken about the  Oscar acting nominations' lack of diversity but he's done fielding questions from reporters. "I'm tired of the media calling my office asking me my reaction to Oscar nominations," he said during a visit to Steve Harvey's talk show. "They need to start calling up these white nominees. Ask them their feelings about it."

Chris Rock calls the Oscars “The White BET Awards”

Tyrese Gibson: Chris Rock should step down as Oscars host

The two discussed host Chris Rock's role as Oscars host.

"I've never told anybody what to do," Lee said. "I love Chris Rock. Chris Rock is a grown-ass man. What he wants to do, I'm fine with. But for me, for me and my wife, we can't go Can't do it.  We're going to a Knicks game instead."

Harvey looks forward to watching Rock on Oscars night.

"There’s a frustration for these African American and Latino and Native American or Asian actors and actress who did good work and didn’t get any recognition," Harvey said. "I would love to see Chris Rock still host the show. If you think on that night that he is not going to make some statements so loud … it’s live. You’re not going to cut him out. There’s no way he’ll let it go. He’s just too real of a guy."
