THE AJC'S REVIEW OF PRINCE CONCERT

TMZ reported that his "private plane made an unscheduled landing at Quad City International Airport in Moline just after 1 a.m. and that he "was immediately transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital."

A rep later told the celeb site that he "wanted to make Thursday night's performance in Atlanta, even though he was still not feeling well." He started feeling worse after leaving Atlanta, hence the emergency landing. After a brief hospital stay in Moline he boarded the plane and " is now back home," TMZ reports.

The performer was well enough to post a few words on Twitter about 11:30 a.m., assuming he posts his own tweets, but this doesn't read like a managed post:

He posted this just a little while ago, hinting that he may be aware of the social-media storm the reports of his emergency landing and illness have sparked:

His account also has posted a couple of music reviews, raving about his shows.

Prince was originally supposed to perform a week ago but postponed those shows due to illness . He reportedly had the flu.

AJC music critic Melissa Ruggieri detected hints of his illness when he spoke.

Security was tight and ushers swooped in to enforce a no-photos rule, but someone managed to post this video clip from the show:
