Steve Harvey is welcome to host the Miss Universe pageant again, an executive with the organization says.

"He was funny, he was informative, he's high energy, he's got a great following," Mark Shapiro, the chief content officer of the company that owns the Miss Universe Organization told the Jim Rome Show. "I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He's going to want a shot to redeem himself."

ET reported Harvey has a contract in place bringing him back as host for the next several years which the pageant folks seem to be A-OK with. Seriously - how could Steve 2.0 not be a ratings bonanza?

Harvey hasn't had much to say about Sunday's massive mixup since apologizing repeatedly and effusively but he did post this today:
