Michael Douglas is back in Atlanta to work on the Marvel project "Ant-Man," which also stars Paul Rudd.

The plot, per imdb: "Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."

The project is based out of the new Pinewood Studios facility in Fayetteville but is filming elsewhere throughout the metro, including the state archives building where several trees were removed to make for better camera access. (Local environmentalists = not amused.)

Douglas and Rudd each have filmed here before, Douglas for "Last Vegas" and Rudd for "Anchorman 2" and Wanderlust.

Here's Douglas on the set this week.
