Actress and activist Lena Dunham, who has been campaigning for presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, wants to ban reporters from using certain words when writing about female politicians.

"I literally want to make a list that we hand to media outlets that says, like, these are the words you can't use when describing a female candidate," Dunham said during an interview with Variety. "Shrill, inaccessible, difficult, frumpy, plastic. There's just a list of words that, if we were allowed to talk about about male candidates that way I'd have a (bleeping) field day. I'd enjoy my life so much."
While Dunham has been actively stumping for Clinton, posting via social media on the candidate's behalf for a day and making appearances, a recent New York Times piece said that "at an Upper East Side dinner party a few months back, Dunham expressed more conflicted feelings. She told the guests ... that she was disturbed by how, in the 1990s, the Clintons and their allies discredited women who said they had had sexual encounters with or been sexually assaulted by former President Bill Clinton."
