Hugo Hesny, 33, pleaded no contest last week to two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, and Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville ordered him to serve 45 days in jail and 22 months and 15 days on probation, as well as to perform 200 hours of community service, the AP reported.

Bieber was in Atlanta, which he has called his "second home," for several weeks last year working on a recording project. The singer himself stayed out of trouble but bizarre headlines had a way of popping up while he was in town.

A 23-year-old woman was arrested at producer Dallas Austin's home, where Bieber was staying (Bieber wasn't there at the time).

A local radio station orchestrated a silly prank "protest," keeping Buckhead Coalition President Sam Massell busy for a few days responding to media calls from all over in the jokesters' wake.

In his trademark genial tone, Massell even presented Bieber with a birthday present when he turned 20 last year:

“In celebration of Justin Bieber leaving his teenage years this Saturday, and to materially demonstrate the Buckhead Community’s ‘Welcome Mat’, we are offering complimentary copies of our Buckhead Guidebook to all Realtors showing homes for sale here. It is only coincidental that the 20th edition of this all-inclusive area directory has just been published, at the first of this month, in which the hoax attack on Bieber occurred.”
