Months after opening up about her infertility struggles, actress Gabrielle Union welcomed her first child with basketball star Dwyane Wade Wednesday.

“We are sleepless and delirious but so excited to share that, our miracle baby, arrived last night via surrogate and 11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days. Welcome to the party sweet girl!" Wade wrote on Instagram, captioning his post with lyrics from Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day.”

The child is the first for the pair, who were married in 2014. Wade also has three sons.

Union had her new baby girl, whose name hasn’t been publicly announced just yet, via surrogate. At August’s BlogHer conference in New York City, she revealed her adenomyosis diagnosis and how it’s led to challenges to conceive in the past.

Adenomyosis, according to the Seckin Endometriosis Center, is a form of endometriosis that causes tissue lining the uterus to grow into the uterus muscle, leading to uterus wall damage.

During the conference, Union offered support to others, saying “Just know if you are out there having fertility issues — you are not alone.”
