Fulton County prosecutors have traveled to Florida to interview an accuser following Nick Gordon's recent arrest on domestic violence charges.

A lawyer and a prosecutor made the trip to interview the accuser.

"It is our normal policy not to comment on investigations currently being conducted by the Fulton County District Attorney's office," the statement said. "However, because of the tremendous interest in this matter, we are departing from our normal course  of action and issuing the following statement.

Gordon, the one-time companion of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, was found legally responsible for her death and ordered to pay $36 million following a civil suit - not criminal charges - last year. He was arrested on Saturday in Sanford, Fla. The police department there said in a statement that a woman came to the police department to file a complaint alleging Gordon hit and punched her.

Brown died in 2015, months after having been found unresponsive in a bathtub. The Roswell Police Department was the first to respond and District Attorney Paul Howard's office later took over the investigation. No criminal charges have been filed.
