Fox Theatre to screen "Purple Rain" Saturday to kick off summer film fest

The Fox Theatre, site of Prince's final full-length public concerts, will screen "Purple Rain" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday to launch its annual summer film festival.

Prince died at 57 one week after his two sold-out concerts at the Fox.

Tickets for "Purple Rain" are on sale now. Reserved tickets are $15 in advance or $20 on the day of the show (plus applicable fees), and are available at the Fox Theatre Ticket Office, online at www.foxtheatre.org or by calling 855-285-8499.

Coming next this summer during the Fox film fest:  "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "Breakfast at Tiffany's," Saturday Morning Cartoons and "The Little Mermaid." See details below.
