Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal was among the notables attendinga recent screening of locally filmed “Captain America: Civil War” to tout the state’s booming film industry - but moviemaking in Georgia isn’t entirely new.

One of the earlier high-profile projects to film here was the harrowing 1972 film "Deliverance."
