President Barack Obama appeared on the "Ellen" show and discussed campaigning (he won't miss it), daughter Malia's departure for college soon (it's going to be tough), his work on behalf of gay Americans (a triumph he's proud of) and how he and First Lady Michelle Obama work out their differences (she's always right, he's come to understand).

The First Lady then surprised the POTUS with a sweet Valentine's poem!
