Meanwhile in Atlanta, casting folks are seeking "jet guards" for a scene filming this month and next. If you're tough and fit, at least 5'10" and "are ready to kick some doors" this might be your gig. They're looking for guys of any ethnicity, from 18 to 45, to work May 11-13, 16-20 and May 24, and June 6-7. The pay rate is $120 for eight hours.

The Fast franchise is of course no stranger to Atlanta, with #5 and #7 filming here.

Atlanta and Cuba have some history, too. The late Mayor Maynard Jackson traveled to Cuba in 1989 and 1991 to help secure votes for Atlanta's Olympics. Jackson met with Communist dictator Fidel Castro on both of those trips.

More recently Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed was part of a delegation to tour Havana and explore future business opportunities during a trip organized by the World Affairs Council of Atlanta.
