Clark Atlanta University professor honored

Congrats to Lynne Patten, Ph.D., associate professor in the School of Business at Clark Atlanta University on a tremendous honor: she was recently named CAU’s Vulcan Teacher of the Year by Vulcan Materials Company.

Along with achieving stellar teaching accolades, Patten manages the Jr. MBA Summer Camp at CAU and serves as advisor to CAU’s National Black MBA Case Team, which has won $40,000 in student awards in the last four years. 

Patten received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from CAU and earned a doctorate in public administration from Arizona State University. 

Also shown in the photo above: acting Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Bettye Clark, Ph.D.; Jeff Phillips, Ph.D., associate professor in the School of Business; and Marilynn Davis, CAU’s chief of staff and special assistant to the president. They all joined in the award presentation during the University’s Opening Institute, held Aug. 12.
