Atlanta Police Department records indicate Brown (whose actual name is Jerod Brown-Carter) was charged with false representation to police and driving without a license; there also was a Gwinnett County warrant stemming from charges of driving without a license and other traffic charges.

According to APD records an officer was patrolling Howell Mill Road about 2 a.m. Monday when the officer "smelled the distinct odor of marijuana."

The officer followed the scent, which appeared to be emanating from the silver GMC Yukon in front of his patrol car.

The officer pulled over the driver, asked if there was any marijuana in the car and was told, "no, but we just came from the studio."

The driver said he had a license but didn't have it with him, and gave his name as Jahraim Wallace Reid.

"The name and date of birth did not appear to be valid," the officer wrote. "After approximately an hour of investigating, I determined the driver's name to be Jarod Wallace Brown-Carter. He eventually admitted his name was in fact Jarod Brown."

(It's unclear which spelling is correct, Jerod or Jarod).

Further investigation turned up a warrant from Gwinnett County.

"I arrested Mr. Brown on the warrant and for driving while unlicensed and false representations to police," the report states.

In his recent posts on Twitter, Brown has been promoting his video and said he's looking for a manager.

Bobbi Kristina has been hospitalized since a Jan. 31 medical emergency and was recently moved from Emory hospital to a nearby rehabilitation facility.

Jerod has maintained an active social media presence regarding his cousin's condition.

He recently released a video he recorded in her honor. Previously, he announced a line of commemorative T-shirts.
