Billy Bush won't be on "Today" today. The morning show personality thought to be a possible successor to Matt Lauer has been suspended following the release of a 2005 recording of Bush, then an "Access Hollywood" host, engaging in lewd banter with Donald Trump.

Bush has apologized but NBC exec Noah Oppenheim told the staff that he's on hiatus, according to a memo Deadline published:
"There is simply no excuse for Billy’s language and behavior on that tape. NBC has decided to suspend Billy, pending further review of this matter."
