The Adam Sandler-Drew Barry Barrymore rom com (actually make that bomb-com) "Blended," a good bit of which was filmed in metro Atlanta, earned a number of nominations for Razzies, the outfit that salutes the worst of the worst in cinema each year.

Sandler is up for worst actor in the movie about a couple who go on a disastrous blind date to Hooter's, then somehow end up taking their kids on a joint trip to Africa, then fall in love. Yes, I spoiled the ending for you, but I did you a favor. Now there is NO reason to see this hot mess. If stupid sight gags like Drew chugging French onion soup and sloshing it all over the place aren't bad enough, the portions depicting the trip to Africa are jingoistic and culturally insensitive.

Other worst actor nominees are Kirk Cameron, "Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas;" Nicolas Cage, "Left Behind;" Kellan Lutz, "The Legend of Hercules;" and Seth MacFarlane, "A Million Ways To Die in the West."

Barrymore is up for worst actress. Other worst actress nominees are Cameron Diaz, "The Other Woman" and "Sex Tape;" Melissa McCarthy, "Tammy;" Charlize Theron, "A Million Ways to Die in the West;" and Gaia Weiss, "The Legend of Hercules."

Shaquille O'Neal is up for worst supporting actor for "Blended," but I think he's collateral damage. He plays a guy who works in a sporting goods store and in my opinion isn't in enough of the movie to warrant nominations for any sort of award, either positive or negative. It looks like Shaq got caught in the "Blended" crossfire.

Other worst supporting nominees are Mel Gibson, "Expendables 3;" Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Expendables 3;" Kiefer Sutherland, "Pompeii." And poor Kelsey Grammer is quadruple nominated, for "Expendables 3", "Legends of Oz," "Think Like a Man Too" and "Trannies #4."
