DALLAS - Actress Alyssa Milano is here at the "NoRA" rally protesting the National Rifle Association's influence over U.S. politicians.

"I have nothing against the NRA members that are law-abiding gun owners. My problem is with the NRA and how they are the gun lobby that has bought off our government and therefore threatened our democracy and our safety as American people, and our children's safety."

The NRA's 147th annual convention is happening about a mile from here. There's an overwhelming police force in downtown Dallas, where a mass shooting in July 2016 left five officers dead.

Return for updates.
