You know White Oak Pastures for their high-quality meats, which appear on restaurant menus, at grocery stores and at farmers markets around town. The multi-generational farm in Bluffton, Georgia, is now one of 29 organizations around the world to become a 2015 Hub candidate for The Savory Institute.

The savory Institute, an international non-profit, nominated nine organizations, and White Oak Pastures is one of four organizations that are within the United States.

With this nomination, a member of White Oak Pastures will travel to Zimbabwe for a leadership camp, at the Africa Centre for Holistic Management, and later this year White Oak Pastures will attend the Savory Institute International Conference. Both of these opportunities will help White Oak Pastures continue to build their local capacity as a pioneer and leader in certified humane and organic farming.

If White Oak Pastures receives a training hub, Savory Institute will provide both education and support on regenerative farming to land managers in their region, including Holistic Management training, consultation, and ecosystem services.
