Atlanta's food scene has been all over the place in the national media of late, from The New York Times weighing in on where you should eat to Bon Appetit including Atlanta in its City Guides and Vogue throwing out some restaurant names in its piece on Atlanta becoming the South's cultural capital.
Now Forbes is throwing its hat into the ring with a piece on spending 48 food-centric hours in Atlanta . Contributor Kim Westerman mentions Buford Highway at the top of her piece, but goes on to highlight some higher brow spot including two eateries from Ford Fry: Ford seafood restaurant St. Cecilia and new American restaurant King & Duke ; Staplehouse, the Old Fourth Ward spot that's a James Beard Award finalist for Best New Restaurant; and Miller Union, operated by chef Steven Satterfield, a James Beard Award finalist for Best Chef: Southeast.
We don't necessarily take issue with the list -- the four choices are arguably among the best in the city -- but with so many delicious under-the-radar restaurants in and around Atlanta (Buford Highway alone could keep you eating for weeks), it seems nearly impossible to pare it down to only four.
If a friend only had 24 hours in Atlanta, which spots would you recommend? Let us know in the comments below.
