At long last, Victory Sandwich Bar is finally set to return to Inman Park.

"We are pulling the trigger and opening tomorrow at 5 p.m.," co-owner Celeb Wheelus confirmed in an email late this afternoon.

The new location is in the former Park's Edge restaurant space on Bernina Avenue near the BeltLine and Freedom Park Trail.

Look for a fast casual design, with a spacious patio, fun and games, and signature $4 sandwiches, plus chips, salads, sides, and snacks. Shanna Mayo, formerly of Leon's Full Service and more recently Victory Decatur, will lead the bar program.

The original Victory opened in Inman Park in 2011, but was forced to close when construction for the Inman Quarter development began in August 2013. The Decatur Victory location opened in early 2013.

913 Bernina Ave. NE, Atlanta. 404-709-2892.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
