A popular Atlanta food trucks is putting down roots in Duluth.

As first reported by What Now Atlanta, UrbanTaali, which has been operating since 2013, will open a brick-and-mortar location at 3099 Breckenridge Blvd. in Duluth in mid-to-late August. The food truck will continue to operate, as well.

UrbanTaali's halal menu includes dishes -- known as "taalis"  --  given Atlanta-inspired names, including the 5 Point Philly Cheese Steak, Piedmont Grilled Cheese and the Perimeter Veggie Wrap.

Ali Husain, one of four UrbanTaali partners, said he and his partners decided to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant after urging from customers.

"We had a great following with the food truck, and we'd get random emails and messages on social media asking 'Hey, do you have a restaurant, we'd love to come by.' We saw that pattern over and over, so we thought, 'Why not'?"

He said Duluth makes sense as a location because many of the food truck's customers live in the area, and that there's a possibility for future intown Atlanta locations.

Husain and his partners grew up together in metro Atlanta, and while two have corporate jobs and two are in school, they all grew up in the food service industry and wanted to work on a culinary project together in their hometown.

"We always wanted to do something that would bring us together," Husain said.
