Under the Cork Tree , The Mediterranean-style restaurant from Jason Sheetz and William Sigley, the team behind the popular Sandy Springs spot Hammocks Trading Company , opened its doors this week in The Prado shopping center at 5600 Roswell Road.
The menu features a variety of tapas and other small plates, charcuterie, soups and salads, tagines, flatbreads, paellas and other entrees, as well as more than 200 bottles of wine and several craft cocktail and beer options.
Sheetz describes the atmosphere as "very comfortable, with rich leathers and subtle colors -- very European."
The restaurant is closed Monday and open 4-10 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and Sunday and 4-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Sheetz says there are possible future plans to open for lunch service.
