What'll ya have? How about a highly-recommended Atlanta restaurant?

USA Today asked Facebook to share the most recommended restaurants in each state, based on the Facebook Recommendations feature.

The iconic Varsity, located at 61 North Ave. NW, took the top spot for the restaurant the most Georgians touted on the social media platform.

Founded in 1928, the eatery -- nearly always packed on Georgia Tech and Atlanta United gamedays -- is famous for its burgers, hot dogs and Frosted Orange drink, in addition to the famous "What'll ya have?" catchphrase the cashiers throw out before they take customers' orders.

The Varsity is celebrating its 90th birthday in 2018. Here's a "taste" of Bo Emerson's story about the anniversary: Frank Gordy opened the Varsity in 1928, when North Avenue was a cobblestone street and Cobb County was covered in cotton farms. Gordy always said the fountain of youth was somewhere near his Frosted Orange machine, and it's true that the Varsity seems caught in some sort of time warp. Read more.
