The Weekender: Food events in Atlanta Nov. 20 - 22

Pizzapalloozza. Pre-fight party. Anniversary celebrations. This weekend, there’s lots of fun, food events happening around town. Add one or all six of the following events to your calendar and be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time. Cheers to the weekend!
$3 beers and more: In celebration of its third anniversary, Cook Hall is hosting an all-day party Friday, Nov. 20. Guests can sip on $3 drafts of PBR, $3 mugs of big boozy punch and nosh on meatballs, house-made burrata and a stout ice cream sundae with roll-back prices from winter 2012, when the restaurant opened.
Pre-fight party: Every 28 days, when the moon is full, Whiskey Blue opens up its rooftop for a party. At 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, fighters competing in Atlanta's Brawl for a Cause, a national boxing philanthropic organization, will enter the ring for a weigh-in. The Brawlers will also prepare to fight for what they believe in. Whiskey Blue will support a cause worth fighting for; $1 from the sale of each, limited-edition Buckhead Brawl shot will be donated to Pets for Vets. Visit www.buckheadbrawl.com for more information.
Book signing: Craig Chapman, host of " Real Food Real Kitchens ," will be signing copies of his eponymous book from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 at Barnes & Noble in Alpharetta.

Pizza party: Pizzapalloozza will celebrate all things pizza—as in brewing a pizza beer, pizza cocktails, pizza ice cream, pizza salads and regular pizza pies. The big ol' pizza party kicks off at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 at The Slice & Pint . At 4:30 p.m. there will be a pizza-eating contest; the winner will receive the Copper Peel Award and free pizza for a year. Rounding out the festivities will be music, games and half-priced beers.
Anniversary party: McKendrick's Steak House will be host a 20th-anniversary party with live music and hors d'oeuvres at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22.
Pay what you want: As the grand finale in its month-long anniversary, gusto! will offer customers the option to pay what they want for any one entrée on Sunday, Nov. 22. A portion of the day's proceeds will benefit the #ChaysetheDream campaign, which will help gusto!'s friend Chayse, who is in recovery at the neighboring Shepherd Center.
