The Pinewood unveils new dining room in Decatur and more Atlanta food and restaurant news from the week

Here's what to eat, drink, buy, cook and more from the past week in metro Atlanta:

The Pinewood opened its new, expanded dining space this week in advance of its fifth anniversary. The restaurant and bar, at 254 W. Ponce de Leon Ave. in Decatur, took over the space previously occupied by Decatur Bikes. The 1,700 square foot addition includes a new facade, full-service lounge area, private dining options, extended weekend hours and new menus including an expanded cocktail program from beverage director Julian Goglia.

New Chef de Cuisine Andrew “Andy” Jackson, who came to The Pinewood from Decatur spot Revival, will add some items to the existing menu.

The restaurant's anniversary celebration on Tuesday, Jan. 17 will offer $5 burgers and $5 old fashioneds all day, with music from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

KEBA Sandwiches opened today at 1403 Oxford Road NE in Emory Point.
