This just in from a press release:

It is in good spirits that Table & Main and Osteria Mattone will say farewell to executive chef Ted Lahey in the beginning of 2016. Chef Ted has been the head of the kitchen and helped open Table & Main in 2011, and has held the title of executive chef and co-owner of Osteria Mattone since 2013.

Apparently, Lahey is leaving to spend more time with his family, but "plans to continue to consult with fellow co-owner Ryan Pernice on the future direction and endeavors for both restaurants."

Chef de cuisine Woolery Back, who's been working with Lahey at Table & Main for two years, will step in as executive chef there, and the group will be seeking a new executive chef to take over at Osteria Mattone.

“I am incredibly grateful for my time and experience at Table & Main and Osteria Mattone,” Lahey said in the release. “Both restaurants provided an environment where I could pursue my vision in the culinary field and I look forward to continuing my friendship and business partnership from afar with Ryan Pernice. I am excited to come back 10 years from now and show my children the successful restaurants that their father helped to build and create.”

Table & Main and Osteria Mattone are two of the most popular and well-reviewed restaurants on the growing Roswell dining scene. It will be interesting to see how they fare after Lahey's departure.
