Bread lovers, get ready. TGM Bread is opening on Jan. 4.

Located next to  The General Muir in the former home of Sweet Monkey frozen yogurt and cupcakes in Emory Point, the bakery will have a retail component, albeit limited. It will primarily serve as a production facility, providing bread for The General Muir,  Fred's Meat & Bread and Yalla at Krog Street Market , and sister restaurant West Egg Cafe , as well as wholesale customers.

Overseeing bread operations for TGM Bread is head baker Rob Alexander, who joined Todd Ginsberg and team in 2014. Prior to that, Alexander ran the baking operations at Holeman & Finch Public House and Alon's Bakery & Market.

Editor's note: This post was updated Dec. 23, 2015 at 3:55 p.m. to reflect the new name of the bakery. It was originally called TGM Bakery.
