The Sandy Springs location of a local burger eatery has closed after less than a year.

Stockyard Burger & Bones shuttered at 5825 Roswell Road last week, Tomorrow's News Today first reported. The restaurant opened in November 2017 in a space previously occupied by Double Zero, which has since moved to Emory Village. The spot will now serve as a catering and event space.

Three other locations of Stockyard remain open in Marietta and Vinings.

Stockyard is part of the Fork U Concepts restaurant group, which also owns several locations of Taqueria Tsunami.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
