Spice to Table closing in Old Fourth Ward

Chef and restaurateur Asha Gomez has received a lot of attention of late for her most recent cookbook, "My Two Souths: Blending the Flavors of India into a Southern Kitchen," which the AJC , Washington Post and The New York Times all named one of the best cookbooks of 2016.

So while you can try Gomez' recipes at home, you'll have to hurry if you want to try her cooking for yourself. Atlanta Magazine reports that Gomez is planning to close her Old Fourth Ward restaurant, Spice to Table, on Feb. 24, in order to focus on a new tea venture.

Gomez envisions DYAD as a lifestyle brand that will start out as a tea business pairing a specific spice with a specific tea, according to a video she posted explaining the new concept.

Gomez opened Spice to Table in 2014 , just days after closing her West Midtown restaurant Cardamom Hill .

Spice to Table will be open from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. everyday with no set menu through Feb. 24.
