Serpas True Food owner to open barbecue joint in Brookhaven

Now comes news that Scott Serpas, chef-owner of Serpas True Food in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward is opening a barbecue joint, Dixie Q, in Brookhaven. The restaurant will be located at 2524 Caldwell Road, near the intersection with Dresden Drive and next door to Savi Provisions. The space was previously occupied by Slice of Brookhaven pizzeria, which shuttered last fall .

Work on the space has already begun. Serpas stated that he expected the restaurant to open by year's end, although a hiring notice has already been posted on the Dixie Q Facebook page.
