The crowds at the first and only Georgia outpost of New York burger chain Shake Shack have diminished only slightly since it first opened its doors at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta in 2014 .
The lines will likely shift north when the second Shake Shack location opens at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody later this year.
An announcement on Shake Shack's website said the Perimeter location "will feature outdoor seating and its menu will include all the Shake Shack classics, from delicious 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers and hormone-free chicken to crispy crinkle cut fries and fresh-made frozen custard."
There was some buzz last year that Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport could be home to a Shake Shack , but nothing has been made official.
While known primarily for its burgers and shakes, the spot has also thrown down the gauntlet in the chicken sandwich game with a pretty high degree of success .
This is the second announcement in the past month that a new burger spot would crop up at Perimeter Mall -- The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar is set to open its doors in the mall in April .
