A popular Savannah sandwich shop is set to make its debut in Atlanta.

Hot counter-service restaurant Zunzi's will open a location at 1971 Howell Mill Road in the Collier Hills neighborhood, in a space previously occupied by Salsa Havana by the end of the year, Tomorrow's News Today reports.

Founded by Gabriella and Johnny DeBeer in 2005, Zunzi's often has lines around the block at its location on East York Street in Savannah for its South African-inspired sub sandwiches, including the Godfather --  a combination of chicken and South African sausage -- and the Conquistador -- a baked chicken sandwich served with special sauce -- as well as veggie sandwiches and sides.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors. And while Atlanta wasn't included in Trump's list, the city fits that profile under Mayor Andre Dickens. (Photo Illustration: Philip Robibero / AJC | Source: Getty)
