The Andrews Square development in Buckhead is set to get a new option for healthy eating in early 2017.

SAMA Food for Balance will open at 56 E. Andrews Drive NW and will offer a menu inspired by Ayurveda, a healing system that uses textures, colors and spices in food to engage the senses. The concept was developed by yoga teacher and Ayurvedic wellness consultant Shannon Salter Sliger, who sold Atlanta-based Dtox Juice in 2016.

The menu will allow customers to build custom bowls with their choice of a grain or vegetable base, a protein, two sides and sauces and toppings.  Customers can also order prefixed Balance Bowls, cold-pressed cocktails, smoothie bowls and drinks from an espresso bar. SAMA will also feature a meditation studio and store.

The 2,700-square-foot eatery will seat 40 guests and will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

SAMA is the latest tenant to set up shop at Andrews Square; Henri's Bakery and Cafe recently announced plans to move into the complex .
