An Atlanta restaurant group will add two locations of its popular upscale American eatery this fall.

Sage Woodfire Tavern will open in East Cobb Sept. 7 at 4 p.m. at 3050 Windy Hill Road SE in the former Houston's spot. Another location will open in October at 3379 Peachtree in the former Morton's Steakhouse space.

Sage's menu features hickory and oak wood fire grill preparations of fish and seafood, steaks, chops, chicken, salads and pastas. The bar program will feature a variety of beers, custom cocktails and wines.

Owner James Liakakos helped renovate the Windy Hill location with leather booths, new flooring and light fixtures and an all-concrete bar trimmed in oak. The restaurant will seat 250 customers in the main dining room and another 70 in a private dining area reserved for special events.

The two new Sage restaurant will join two existing locations in Alpharetta and Dunwoody. A Sage Social Kitchen at 1401 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta and Spice Brick Oven Kitchen in Alpharetta are now closed.
